Counselor Corner

What does integrity mean in a person: being honest

Our character value this month is Integrity.

Integrity means being honest and having strong moral principles. A person with integrity behaves ethically and does the right thing, even behind closed doors.

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and

convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."

- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

What are the 5 attributes of integrity?

-Dependability. Dependability means people can rely on you and that you keep promises. ...

-Loyalty. Employers especially value and appreciate the loyalty of their employees. ...

-Honesty. Integrity requires honesty. ...

-Good judgement. ...

-Respect.

How to Teach Children Integrity & Good Character

-Lead by example by acting with integrity. ...

-Be specific with your reasoning. ...

-Offer examples of positive moral behaviors. ...

-Understand that outside influences will affect character development.
