Counselor Corner

May Character Value Patience

The ability to wait calmly

without complaining.

“Patience is the calm acceptance

that things can happen in a different order than the one you have in mind.” - David G. Allen

Patience is the ability to countdown before you blast off.

Essential Question:

What are my responsibilities within my school and neighborhood to demonstrate patience?

Daily Modeling

Wait your turn

Don’t complain when you don’t get your way

Accept what cannot be changed

Use time wisely

Try and Don’t give up

Understand the feelings of others

Role Model patience with your children is important to reinforce these skills. Look for examples in your world of these values and point them out to your children then decide as a family how y'all are going to show patience during the summer.

Wishing you all a joyous summer break! Make great memories!

You are making a difference!

Ms. Wallace, School Counselor
